Alexander Baack
Director / CEO
Alex is an award-winning director, writer, producer, editor and actor. A graduate of the American Musical & Dramatic Academy, Alex made his professional acting debut starring in the national tour of Neil Simon’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Lost in Yonkers before working at the acclaimed Barrow Group theatre company.
Turning to film, Alex produced and directed the independent features, Untitled: A Love Story, Hollywood Musical!, You & Me (Audience Award, 2018 Cinequest Film Festival) and Past Future.
He is currently co-writer and producer on Helen, about the life of Helen Keller, now in pre-production. Also in various stages of development are Force Studios’ slate of projects, including Sister Ann of the Cornfield, Portraits of Genie, The Scene, Story of My Life, Show Me A Sign, The Schmilsson Movie, Notes From Underland, Sign Language, Art & Gadge and more.
Hillary Baack
Producer
Hillary is an actress, writer, director and producer. A graduate of Wake Forest University, Hillary wrote and performed an acclaimed, sold-out run of her one-woman show, Birth Story at The Barrow Group, followed by roles at Deaf West, including Flowers for Algernon and Spring Awakening.
As an actor, Hillary has co-starred in Close to You (w. Elliot Page), Sound of Metal, The East and the upcoming Clybourne Park (w. Sarah Paulson, Elizabeth Moss and Anthony Mackie).
Hillary co-wrote, produced and starred in the award-winning feature, You & Me and helped develop the Oscar-winning CODA and Sound of Metal.
She is currently in pre-production on Helen, in which she writes, produces, directs and stars as Helen Keller.
